SHCC's Back to School Book Giveaway at the Hammond Boys and Girls Club
As summer winds down and the school year is upon us, the importance of literacy and the gift of a new book was given to a few hundred children in Hammond, Indiana. This year, the School House Children's Charity (SHCC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, teamed up with the Hammond Boys and Girls Club to host a remarkable Back to School Book Giveaway event. With the invaluable support of Dwayne Washington, the Club Director at the Hammond Boys and Girls Club, and the unwavering commitment of Mike Jessen, President and CEO of Boys and Girls Club of Greater Northwest Indiana, SHCC distributed 350 brand-new children's books to students and their families, setting the stage for an inspiring and successful school year.
